Sweat your fears away because I got you!
Personally, I enjoy wearing bodycon dresses or really tight, body hugging clothing items just because I want to embrace my body figure as much as I possibly can. However, there are times when I just want to lay back, put on a baggy sweater and call it a day. And you know what the best thing is? I can actually do that! And you can also!
An oversized sweater, may be as sexier (if not even more) as a body revealing dress or a decolletage.
And there are plenty of ways you can wear it, either dressed up or dressed down.
Just be sure you always wear your personality because that is the only accessory you should never leave the house without.
So, let’s go straight into my list:
1. Statement boots
I know an oversized sweater is not technically a sweater dress, but if the sweater is longer and baggy enough you can wear it as a dress with a pair of over the knee boots. This leaves enough to the imagination and it will give you an effortless look. Put on a long coat and wear your hair in a messy bun or loose curls and you are ready to go.
2. Mixed materials
This is more of a put together outfit in the sense that you would have to be careful when choosing the material of the sweater and the one of the skirt. You can pick a wool sweater and pair it with a sequin bodycon skirt or you can go for a lighter material for your sweater and pair it with a pleaded metallic maxi dress.
3. Steal your boyfriend’s jeans
Pick a pair of mom jeans or boyfriend jeans and then look for a sweater that has an oversized neck design. Tuck it in the jeans on one side, add your favorite pair of statement ankle boots or Vans, put on an aviator jacket and you will be casually sexy!
4. A shirt underneath
One of the biggest trends this year is the longer white shirt underneath a dress. However, you can also apply this if you wear an oversized hoodie or sweatshirt on top of the shirt. Mix it with heeled booties and a modern fanny pack.
5. Wear latex
I find it really appealing when I see mixed materials that, on the first thought, have nothing in common. Like for example, you can wear a wool sweater with a fit latex skirt and a pair of sneakers. Also, you can turn this daytime outfit to a nighttime one, by stepping in in a pair of skyscraper heels.
