The moment you pronounce the brand’s name it evokes grace, sophistication and timeless art manifestation. Manuelo ‘Manolo’ Blahnik is one of the most well-known shoe designers that contributed through the years to the beauty of fashion.

At first, Manolo Blahnik did not attend any art classes, as his parents wanted him to become a diplomat. However, his talent was stronger, as Manolo, after graduating Literature and Architecture in 1965, moved to Paris to attend the art classes of the École des Beaux-Arts and Stage Set Design at the Louvre Art School, all while working at a vintage clothing shop.

Then, he got the opportunity to meet with the editor-in-chief of US Vogue, Diana Vreeland, that told him to follow his passion and to be more determined towards designing shoes.

Fortunately for us all, Manolo Blahnik listened to her advice and sky-rocketed his career in fashion.
